Central Gardens

A fictional layout set on 9 boards (3x3)......centre board being the gardens....hence the title.

The gardens are a recreational area set in the centre of a city.....included in the gardens are a fairground.....go kart track.....roller coaster.....boating lake......castle with moat........ quieter areas for seating and childrens play areas .......hotels....fast food outlets and restaurants.....and various other attractions.

The gardens are serviced by garden trams.....it works well with 4 trams.....2 going in one direction and 2 going in another....the gardens also allow access to the city trams....both on elevated and ground level.....the elevated trams enter the gardens at one end of the city....winding through the centre....stopping at the fairground and exiting at the other side.

The ground level trams enter the gardens only briefly before exiting on the same side.......the city is still a work in progress....and the gardens need more work.....couldn't get the content i wanted....DLS packed in on me..........never mind.....im an amateur trainzer.

These are just a few early screenies.

It looks nice, but its kinda weird to have grass beneath the tracks. Use dirt/gravel/ballast or pavement. Or use actual railroad tracks no just the rails.

Good point......even on one board it would take a lot of replacing.......but i have to agree with you.

What Trainz version do you use? You know, if you edit the properties of a station, you can select how many people there are at that station, and you don't need to add additional people...

If you use TS2010, there's grass textures with much higher quality than the AJS grass... search for TS in the texture bar and they should pop up...

This is a really awesome route, by the way. Much better than anything i have done...

Are those little red/white/yellow BG things rail vehicles? If so, it looks as though their wheels don't fit the tracks.

Great work otherwise! :)

Thanks for the encouraging feedback.....i tried hard on it but i can see some of the screenies look a bit "cartoony" and not too clear.

I'm using trainz 2009....i never knew that about the stations defacto....ty.

Every time i go back to do more work bare patches are appearing all over the grass. :(

The feedback from established trainzers makes me want to persevere.....cheers.

You're right Ronayne....they don't fit.....they are basically just an added feature to the route although they cover a lot of ground on one board.....it's like a route within a route.

The BG...stands for Busch Gardens.....i used a lot of this persons content before the DLS shut me out. :(
