cdp problem help please

i have gone form phone link internet conection to a wireless conection is any reason why my cdp sould not work although it starts ok it wont download anything

make sure your computer has acess to the router,,you might have to give acress to cmp in your fire walll

There are many things that can affect your downloads when you swap from dial-up to a broadband or wireless connection.

Check your Windows firewall settings to ensure that they are configured properly to allow this port to receive downloads. If not, you may need to check your antivirus program. These programs sometimes include a software firewall. Ensure that this software allows the connection. Some programs are more "snotty" than others when it comes to this. I use Trend Micro's PC-cillin, and I needed to setup the connection for Office and not direct Internet because I have a LAN setup. These are little things that need checking.

Ensure that your internet browser is set to automatically connect to the wireless setting instead of dial-up first. This can cause delays and other problems particularly if a program uses your browser settings to connect to the internet.

There are probably othert things, but this is what I can think of off hand. I'm sure others here can help you.
