catenary problem when trying to put one next to the track

Hello guys
I'm posting this because I had got a problem when I wanted to put a catenary line next to my track. I'm explaining :
I put the track and then, I choose in the list "catenary 16 m long" in "object" and I try to pull it next to my track. The catenary line doesn't display but when I'm going away from the track it displays normally and follows my click.
Could you explain that and try to help me ?

Hi Octave41. Firstly, Welcome to the Trainz Forums!

Now to your problem. There is an issue where you can't start splines too close to other splines (even if they are track). That's okay if it only works further out from the track, all you then have to do is move the Catenary spline points (white rotating circles) over the track spline points (which if a height has been set for them, will turn yellow).

This does take time, and lots of it, but unfortunately there is no other way around it.

You can also lay the catenary right on the track-spline circles by holding shift when you click it. This also works for laying track close to other track without connecting it. And the straighten track too works for most splines too, so when laying your catenary, straighten the same area that you straightened on your track and it should follow it nicely.
