Catenary height query

I am in the throes of my Irish railway project and had started putting in catenary equipment in the Dublin area as the DART electric service is being partly built too. However when I started to add footbridges to stations they are not hight enough to clear the cables. If my track is at 0.00 can someone suggest what height I should have these at please?

Made me groan at first and need help before I do any more overheads.

Some footbridges can initially be too low. I had the same problem, finding that some of my UK steam locos wouldn't pass under without the chimney colliding.

However, there are several which do have adequate clearance (for catenary wires as well!). Check that the base of the footbridge (fixed object or spline versions) have been raised to platform level.

Most will sit at ground level when placed. If you raise them until the base sits correctly on the platform surface, you should find that there is sufficient clearance space for the wires.

Actually I did say mezzoprezzoit was a station matter and unless I hover a footbridge above a platform will still get a problem! At the same time I had been using UK catenary items. It is just as well it only covers part of the Dublin suburb but I would prefer not to have wires going through the footbridge. Have looked a several such items but all are of the same height on a platform. So still a niggle.

I found one higher platform crossing footbridge but it looks more from somewhere else and rickety. Doesn't tie in with British or Irish styles. Think I will just have to leave the odd occasion where the suburban catenary run into a footbridge. It only effects a tiny fraction of what I am doing overall anyway.

Now got a modern one that is much better and higher than before. However can someone tell me if there is an easy way to connect wires??

It is fine just positioning double catenary stuff but when I have points and crossovers I am in the dark. It is difficult to get cloe and try and se if the wire is near to the other. Or am I missing something?
