I've got a route which has cat wires that I don't want, so I deleted the kuid for it in both the route and session config files, but the wires are still there which I don't understand. Can anyone advise. I'm running trs2006+sp1
Thanks

You need in surveyor with the layout open go to the menu and select delete all missing content ( its now missing) since you have deleted the kuid.
Next save as and shut down 04 now go to (default location) Local drive C program files Auran TRS2004 Cache.
open the Cache folder and remove the world_cache_dispatcher chump file.
Close all open folders and pages and relaunch 04, this will cause 04 to reload in all the content and remake a new dispatcher chump file.
The reason you still had it in the layout is that you did not remove this chump file.
It is like a data base of content that has been loaded in and when you change configs or other items it needs to be removed before loading in 04 otherwise the data base will remain the same and the items will still show up even though you removed the kuid reference file

What do you use to place objects on the route? Object mode. There is another button that's on the right hand side, that's spline mode. Click on it, click the button with the x on it and delete the car wires.

You mean deleting them one by one if so that would be a pain as there are so many which is why I was trying to delete it all in one go, if you don't mean this then sorry but can you explain in step by step format
Thanks

Deleting the kuid from the config won't do it in any Trainz version since the content is called from the .gnd and/or .obs files.

Quickest way to get rid of it would be to identify all relevant kuids making up the cat system, locate them using 'Edit in Explorer' from CMP and move all content folders to the desktop.

Loading the route should (I think) now give you the 'missing content' black screen. Selecting 'delete missing content' should now remove all references from the route. I am pretty sure that should do it, if not delete the assets .tdx and .bku files and let them rebuild, then do the black screen thing. That will definitely do it....

If you want the cat system for another route, import it again using cmp. If not, bin it....

Andy ;)
