Can't launch TS2009

I've installed TS2009 and updated it to build 40040, but everytime I try to launch it, i see only black screen with the sandclock-mouse in the middle...
When push alt+ctrl+del there is "not responding" at JET [DirectX9] (or JET [OpenGL], no difference).

In TrainzDiag there is "Ok" at every position.

Configuration: Athlon 4000+ (2,4 GHz), 2 Gb RAM, NVidia 7600GS, WinXP SP2

TRS2006 worked with no problems.

Help me, please.

My recommendation would be to launch TS2009 and go for a long walk. Just leave it alone and let it sort itself out.
This may take a very long time the first time you start it.

Cheers

As nawlins said it takes time. It will be doing a data base repair .

To check thats it;s running use task manager ALT/CTRL/DEL then find Content manager & check the CPU & MEM usage if there changing it doing it's job.

If I'm doing any large Content Installs/Commits I usually start up task manager first so I can check to see if it has not hung & is still running

nawlins, big_b - thank you.

I tried this: luanched and left my PC for 5 hours, but nothing happened. Black screen, mouse in the middle.

big_b, there is no Content manager in the list of the tasks: only trainz.exe and JET; trainz.exe uses about 88 Mb of RAM and 0 % CPU, JET doesn't respond

If trainz.exe is there check to see if launcher is there it may have hung on launcher if both are visible in task manager end the launcher process & see if trainz.exe runs then.

Big_b, first seconds there are both trainz.exe & launcher.exe, then launcher.exe disappears. Even through I end launcher.exe, trainz.exe becomes 0% CPU in few moments

Hi Dsh2009

Please try running Content Manager V2.0 (CM2) by clicking on the 'content' button on the launcher screen. When CM2 loads, if it starts doing a database repair, cancel this and then clear all downloads out of the download helper list. Now go to 'file', then click on 'extended database repair'.

Please let us know how you go.

I try to run 'extended database repair', but it becomes hung at 99 %... I try stop it in task manager and run trainz after this, but problem remains: black screen with 0 % CPU load
