Hello. Firts of all I believe this is my first time posting on the forum, even though I have been a member for several years. (1990's I think) I recently started to play with it again and I can't seem to get something to work ? I have trainz UTC, 2004, 2006, and 2010 on my machine ( a very high end hp computer with win.7 ) and i cant find a route in my TRZ. 2006. a while back i downloaded the Erie Northern and Midwest central. They show up in CMP but not in the game. how do i get them to show up so I can use them ? Thanks.. Allen.

Hi Allen,

Nice first post. You must be a longtime lurker! :)

Now, are these routes compatible with TRS2006, or do they only work in TS2009 and up? This might be problem.

Now if this isn't the case then look for the Stars next to the routes and click on them. This will remove the favorite'd items and will show all the installed routes. Once you see all the routes, you can favorite, by clicking on the star again, next to the routes you want to see.

John

Yes, the routes were made for TRS2006. They came from here: http://trains.0catch.com/ . If you do a google search of " trainz midwest central " it will come up. and I am trying to use it in TRS2006 which does not have the favorite star at top of page. it opens up with 3 choices: Surveyor, Driver, or Railyard. I cannot see it in surveyor or driver.
thanks.. allen.

I don't have TS06 installed any more but I still have the manual. CM+ allows you to assign a star rating to assets so I'd try give it a five and see it that makes a difference. It's a long shot but maybe worth a try. Does CM+ show any errors against the route? In TS12 faulty assets show up in red which means they cannot be added to a route/session. Maybe TS06 excludes faulty stuff.

I went into CMP and put the stars next to the assets but still nothing... I wonder if i should delete all of them and go back to download station and try it again that way ?.. the CMP in 2006 is so hard to use sometimes that it just gets tiresome. I have been registered with auran for a long time now and usually when i try to use CMP it tells me that it cannot find me or i have a bad user code. it takes several tries and a lot of grumbling (from me ) before it actually works ( I wonder if there is a updated version or a fix for it.. i have the one that came with the game) . but my version of 6006 is VER. 2.6 build 3335.
do you think if I delete them all and then use DMP to download them again that will fix my problem ?
thanks. allen

You might have a look at Shane's site at http://trainz.shaneturner.co.uk/tutorials/index.php/trainzpatchlinks/can-i-patch-my-version that discusses patches but it may only go back to TS09.

I found my original DVD of TS06 and also a copy of SP1 however, without re-installing it, I cannot say for certain what build it is but I did find a post that said 3335 included Sp1

The Midwest Central route you got from the link you quoted is also available on the DLS (Midwest Central Build 360, kuid2:87783:1134:7). I downloaded it into TS10 and managed to get it into Surveyor although it is missing a couple of dependencies (maybe more!). Some of those are on TPR (trainzproroutes.org). The route itself has a Trainz build of 2.6 which is TS06 Sp1.

Perhaps you should use your TS10 instead.

I can see the midwest central in TRS06 CMP but I still can't find it in the Routes or Surveyor.. but at least looking through the links above I solved a different problem I also had... I could not read the info in TRS2010, it was dim and blurry but now I can read the info again, Thanks !
Allen.
