Can't download 2010

I have tried for two days to download trainz 2010 now . I get the files but all I get is errors when I try to install them. I have tried to re-download with a FTP client but can't find the files. Can anyone help.?

What kind of errors, Dennis?

Try using a download manager? There are some that the other users have used in the past with great success. I can't think of them off hand because I didn't need one.

If your downloads came down okay, are you putting them all in a single folder before installing? They need to be all together in one place in order for the install to work properly.

The one that Auran/N3V recommends is Free Download Manager (from what I remember) - you can get that one from http://www.freedownloadmanager.org

As for the install issues, make sure you have download the setup.exe and all the .bin files mentioned on the download page (look in Order History in your profile for that) into the same folder before you run setup.exe

Still downloading mine - I got the exe and 3 of the bins but it wouldn't allow me to download the 4th bin at the same time, so it took about 12 hrs to download the 1st lot and now it looks like another 12hrs to get the last one, great. Why you cant download them all in parallel is beyond me.

I also tried the ftp site, that was hopeless until somebody told me on the forum that the path you need is hidden and you have to type it in rather than browse - and then geuess what - it tells me the file I need to download doesn't exist.

Not having much luck with the download station either. I ahve come back to Trainz after a 6 year layoff, my last impressions were that nothing worked properly on the download station, I thought things may have changed but they don't seem to have.

There is a good reason for that - the limit for parallel downloads is 5 (I was informed that in another thread from pw3r that it's set to do that to try and reduce server full errors)

It used to be 4 until a few days ago.

Well it would'nt let me do 4, only 3 - I got the exe so quick I had it before I even tried to get the bins. Its now Monday and still trying to get the 4th bin.

It's probably high load on the servers.

Got problem fixed, had to add the "exe." to all the files then they installed just fine. Thanks for all your help.
