Can't commit due to file access error

I keep getting this error periodically when I am installing things into trainz.
I have run multiple extended database repairs and this still occurs.
The then I have to launch trainz from the cm which commits everything and it works or commit the assets manually. I even installed new copies of trainz an I stlll have the same problem.
Can someone help me remedy this problem?

To ensure proper operations, we suggest that you run and install Trainz as administrator. (Right-click on the setup, and choose run as administrator). With the short-cut on your desktop, right-click, choose properties and compatibility tab. There you check run as administrator so this happens all the time.

I have tried this and even re-installing the game and still get that statment to show.
It as if the aome of the assets are not committing when installed and show up faulty but after they are committed in the cm or when launched from the cm then they commit and are not faulty. Can someone advise me on how to fix this?

Trainz doesn't always act smoothly. TS12 SP1 and above take so long to validate that every now and again it has a coughing fit.

Accept that you will get some file copy errors. QDR and EDR are not going to resolve it for you. When file copy errors occur delete or revert the offending asset. And try again as a single asset download.

Generally Trainz will respond correctly.

What happens when you launch from Trainz.exe.?
I always commit open assets before launching.
I personally never launching from CM.

jebartle - this is a very old thread - over 4 years old in fact...
It would help us to help other forum members better if users posted the Build number and version of Trainz they are referring to and posted their queries or observations in the correct forum.
I suspect that the OP was referencing some TS12 variant in February 2014, as T:ANE was just in its infancy (beta testing phase) back then.

Now. I know it's been years since years since you've originally posted this (I didn't exist here back in 2014)
But anyways here is the fix

Important Note:
The main culprits of these issues is this:
- too many large size: any assets that are 4096 should only have around 1 to 2 of it. Anything more the asset would become unreasonably big and extremely slow to commit and sometimes trainz just can't handle that, so it spat out the error
If it's possible resize the textures to 2048 or 1024
