Can't add duplicate tracks

Hi all, it's been a while. I'm starting a new layout and need to add a section of "passing" track to my mainline, but whenever I do, my signals go to red at both ends for that section. Changing the switch direction makes no difference. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong please?

If there is no train in that section in front of the signal this is normal behaviour as Trainz signals will stay red if there is a turnout between it and the next signal and there is no train there.

Thanks for the reply

Thanks Shane. Does this mean I can drive through a red signal in this situation?

It shouldn't be red if there is a train present approaching the signal - if it is, then it means that you may not have enough signalling the other side of the turnout or that the turnout is against the train (or even that there is a train in the next block).

Thanks again Shane. It's all starting to make sense now. I don't have any other trains on the line so far, so I'll add a bit more signalling to the other side and hope that fixes the problem. Very much appreciate your help.
