Cannot replace assets.

I'm trying to replace broken speed trees on Jointed Rail's Midwest Grain Routes with new ones for use in TANE, but when I try to do it it keeps giving me this message and refuses to place anything. And this is with any of the broken speed trees.

I suspect it's because you are trying to replace a Speedtree type of asset with an ordinary Kind:scenery tree. I think you can only replace Speedtrees with other Speedtrees.

Are you trying to replace the faulty trees within T:ANE?

If so that won't work. You need to do the replacement in TS12 first then import the route into T:ANE. If you plan on using Speed Trees, there are some M:Ultra Trees which will do a direct replacement in T:ANE as well as a bunch from RMM. The plan, otherwise, is to use billboards such as the Forest series, or Clam1952 CL-Trees, for example.
