C44-8W

Hey!

Hey whats with all the negativity? I ask a simple question, and you guys think I'm some sort of "noob." I really don't like being treated like this. I thought Prototype Talk was to talk about the the real thing. I'm I blind or something?

Ya know what, I think it's you guys who should think before you post. All I wanted was a simple answer and what I get is "this is pointless." Well if I wanna know something, why not post it here??

Sheesh.

If one of the trainz vets decided to post this topic the same way, the reaction would probably be the same. The problem isn't your question, but more of its delivery.

Why are you guys beating him up like that?

He asked a simple question in the right place too, its not like he posted this in the screenshots thread or something.

Anyway Applegathc, I think that a C44-8W is basicly a dash 8 with 4,400 horsepower instead of the usual 4,000 horsepower found on dash 8s. I do not know how to tell them apart although I believe C44-8Ws look just like C40-8Ws.

Isn't a C44-8W a Dash 9 trapped inside a Dash 8 body?

Cheers, Cameron

First I start you with drawings, best use is open them in seperate IE tabs then switch between them to see comparisons.

Next we visit this site http://www.geocities.com/guilford_350/index.html where some technical data is found (my other resource Diesel Shop doesn't have C44-8W data).
