Thought I'd start a thread to cover recent developments in the British railway sector. So, without further ado, here are the week's headlines:
-Eurostar is to withdraw and scrap most of it's original 20-year old Class 373 TGV TMST units, keeping and refurbishing a small number of units.
-They are reports that the NRM has secured a Class 442 driving car for the national collection following their withdrawal and storage.
-In a surprising break from modern practice, Transpennine Express has ordered loco-hauled coaching stock.
Feel free to add more stories as time goes on.
Not long for this world? A 373 leaves the French end of the Channel Tunnel.
