can someone suggest where to get some british trains? i live in the u.s but i really like british and german trains. the class 31 to class 67's are my favorite for diesel, and would also like some high speed trains like the voyager 220.i can't seem to find any european content.

First of all, you should search on the DLS. You'll also find a lot of german stuff on https://www.trainzdepot.net/?page=Home .
You can find a lot of quality German stuff on the DLS made by the author cj187. Also, you should download the schwaeninger land beta version fromthe DLS, which also includes a lot of quality rolling stock. I'm sorry, but there isn't a lot of payware out there.

One of the quirks of the EU is there are different VAT rates, because Amazon was charging a lower VAT rate than where the person lived the rules were changed so that you know have to charge the same price everywhere but the VAT rate applicable is one of around 70 different rates and it is the sellers responsibility to charge the correct one. So given these vary between 0% and 27% it adds a lot of complexity to selling over the internet.

Basically many payware sites in Europe have quietly closed their doors.

For UK stock there are good quality freeware assets available. www.trainz-carriage-wagon-works.com lists a fair number. There are some payware assets around but they are not always of higher quality.
