BR HST 125

Does anyone know if there is another version of the above loco that has lights that actually light up the track?

I do a fair amount of night time driving on my routes and all loco's except the HST light the track ahead. I was under the impression that there might have been a paid for version available that may have had this facility but have been unable to find it.

Tried to load a Class 43 Intercity (a revamp of the HST 125) to see if that had working lights but for some reason it won't open on my route.

Any info would be appreciated.

I've not seen one available as Freeware. Railwaves had one which may have done that, but at the moment it's not available. Sorry Richard!

Add a second mesh? Pev's Attachment maker?

Thanks John but only been at this a few months and haven't got into meshes - will hare to have a search and find out just what they are!!!!

Basically Trainz renders meshes, so the loco you want to have headlamps on is a mesh that is referred to in the config.txt file. You can add a second mesh in the config.txt file and Pev's attachment maker is one way to do this, it helps you create a second mesh that fits over the first. You'll need a lamp that fits the attachment points I'm not into this too much but I suspect that it would be either an asset ie have its own kuid number or a corona which can be added to an attachment point with a couple of lines of text in the config.txt file. Clone the HST first.

Find something that works in the way you want it to then you dig into the config.txt file and copy things out into your clone.
