G'day, I downloaded the above "BR 8T Cattle Wagon" and I am missing the following kuid's:-
Unknown Location: <kuid:44090:50106>
Unknown Location: <kuid:44090:57109>
Unknown Location: <kuid:44090:602>
Unknown Location: <kuid:44090:605>
Unknown Location: <kuid:44090:606>
Unknown Location: <kuid:44090:612>
Unknown Location: <kuid:44090:617>
Unknown Location: <kuid:44090:622>
Unknown Location: <kuid:60850:99010>
Unknown Location: <kuid:60850:99011>
Does anyone know where to find these, I have checked the DLS black pages TPR and google all to no avail.
Regards
Barrie

Hi Barry

At a guess I would think that this wagon would be built into the earlier versions of trainz as rolling stock for the Hawes route. It is built in to TS2010 so if you still have that installed you should be able to find the assets in that.

G'day Brian, already tried that and these are not used in the older version.

Your reported KUID indicates v7 of the asset. This has jumped to v40 for the TS09 upgrade, so I believe v7 was part of TC3. Since your banner indicates you have TC3, I suggest you look in there for the missing dependencies. This asset won't perform well in TS12. To obtain v40 (that performs better in TS12) you would need to acquire the S&C resource for use in TS12 SP1.

No, what's happened here is that I 'repaired' the TS2006 cattle wagon to TS2009 standards but I used the SnC version as a basis which means the missings kuids are only available to those who have SnC installed. Having realised my mistake I created a V8 using the normal builtin dependancies but unfortunately the DLS won't accept it. The ticket has been open since 24th April 2013 so don't hold your breath.

I had a similar thing. Using TSMac, the 8T Cattle Wagon was working fine, but since I've installed some extra S&C stuff and done a database repair, it's stopped working. Weird. No idea how to fix it though :/

Guys,

the :40 asset versions from SnC obsolete the earlier versions in accordance with obsoletion scheme.
They also create missing dependencies :7 through :39 as a consequence.
The only way DLS will accept updates of these assets is to make them > highest existing which is what Paul has done.

@Barrie

As of TS12 SP1 HF4 the following are the latest versions

44090:50106:42
44090:50109:40
44090:602:42
44090:605:40
44090:606:41 Builtin
44090:612:41 Builtin
44090:617:41 Builtin
60850:99010:1 Builtin
60850:99011:2 Builtin

For those of you that had the SnC addon this has been transferred from builtin folder and is now a DLC in the package folder.

Note this thread has been moderated to remove objectionable language and Bohill has received a 50 point infraction.

Thanks Ian, but that is not the problem. The DLS had V6 and this was also builtin to TRS2006 and TC3 - when I did TS2009Snc the version was changed to 40 to allow for updates for TC3 under the same kuid. The DLS doesn't know anything about V40 as it was never uploaded and I uploaded V7 without any problems. However, I can't upload the fixed V8 asset as the DLS says that V6 and V7 are not part of this assets obsolete history even though they clearly are on the DLS.

The ticket I raised in April has been deleted so there is not going to be a solution from N3V I fear.

Paul

I think you will find that the DLS is irrelevant to this situation.Because as you say the assets were not loaded onto DLS.
If you are at TS12 SP1 HF4 then CM will be looking for :40 versions not the earlier. As far as the system is concerned the versions you are trying to upload are already bespoke and thus verboten.
This is most certainly the case for any DLC download.

Similarly, the upload process will validate against the TS12 index and disallow any versions that are earlier than the current TS12 :40 versions.

In my TAD I had the original SnC addon. At TS12 SP1 it was converted to a DLC and moved to package folder. However, it is treated as if it is a builtin for obsoletion purposes.

As an example here is the Asset Version history for kuid2:44090:602:2 as CM perceives it after it compares with the index:

Not faulty: RCH Standard buffer length 2ft - This is kuid2:44090:602:42 the current version.
Not faulty: RCH Standard buffer length 2ft - This is kuid2:44090:602:41 which is actually obsolete. As it is a builtin it cannot be deleted.
Download Station: RCH Standard buffer length 2ft - This is kuid2:44090:13:2 which is also obsolete.

All the unknowns are obsolete as far as CM is concerned and so cannot be downloaded from DLS.
Nor can you update this asset with any version less than or equal to the highest version number. ie :42.

Ghastly isn't it. Most of these unknowns are false and are the result of the non-continuous version numbering. The obsoletion process just can't handle it.

An even worse problem occurs with assets that have the :127 error where everything up to :126 is an unknown.

I've been highlighting this issue regularly since TC3 was released.

OK, thanks for that, I think I can now see how to fix this. If I upload from a clean copy of TS12 without the V40 asset it should work. Possibly that's what I did when uploading the V7 update.

I am having the same issues when i downloaded your 4F from the DLS, it is missing all these assets:
Unknown Location: <kuid:44090:50109>
Unknown Location: <kuid:44090:50110>
Unknown Location: <kuid:44090:55102>
Unknown Location: <kuid:44090:57155>
Unknown Location: <kuid:44090:57176>
Unknown Location: <kuid:44090:57177>
Unknown Location: <kuid:71662:52102>

I tried going onto TS2009 to see if i can find these assets on the built in 4F so i can save them as a cdp and install them on TS12 but the TS2009 4F, these assets aren't required for it, but they are somehow required on TS12?

Any help here, i tried the Trainz Kuid Search Engine, the DLS and Google Search but the only result was this forum.

Hi

These all show as built in to my TS12 installation which means they are part of the S&C add on. As this isn't yet available for T:ANE you will have to wait for it to be updated. I read somewhere in a thread that N3V were now working on it.

Regards

Brian

Hello stationmistress - I see on my TS12 installation that it is paulhobbs Fowler 3500 gallon Tender bogie, version 41, also it shows as a built-in asset. It is on neither the S&C web site nor the Potteries Loop Line site as an update. My guess is the only approach apart from buying S&C/Potteries Loop Line would be to contact paulhobbs about it. -- late edit -- Just noticed, the LMS Fowler 3500 Gallon tender has a different name and kuid in Potteries Loop Line - PLL Fowler 3500 gal Tender Bogie is kuid kuid2:44090:50173:1
