Blue Comet Add On

Hey All. Very Very new at this so please be gentle with me. My nephews do most of the using but I am trying to get this fixed. Downloaded the Blue Comet Add On. That was successful but when I tried to install it I got the error message "An existing trainsz has been detected but it is an older Trainz version....." and went on to tell me to go to the Auran and get the approriate Trainz updates. My question is how do I tell which ones are appropriate and apply. I tried to a couple but the installer told me they don't apply. :'( . Help me please help my nephews. TIA. Slim

which Trainz is it? (i.e. ts2010, ts2009, ts2006, etc)

I recommend registering your Trainz before doing anything else. Patches are in the Auran Announcements forum right above this one on the main page. For TS2010, you will need at least SP3 (version 43434) to run it, though the latest full version is 44088. You may have trouble finding it in-game once it's installed. Follow whatever instructions you have or post back here if you can't figure it out.

and download the appropriate one. You build number is on the first screen when you start Trainz. It is probably 42203.

You're welcome. BTW, forgot to mention, patching can take a long time and the computer can even appear to have locked up. Just let it run.
