Hi all, where can I findthe "trainzmeshimporter. exe Thanks.:) file " for Blender. The only file i can find in Trainzdev-wiki, is the " rar " file.?,the Train export xml. file does not show up min blender.

Have you tried opening the Rar file to see if it's there? A Rar file is just a sophisticated Zip file.

TrainzMeshImporter.exe is the program which processes the XML file made by the Blender exporter. TMI makes the mesh files that are then put into Trainz Content.

You will need an unpacking program like WinRAR or 7Zip to get the TMI out of the RAR file.

"7Zip" is a free download.. Google for it.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I have now found and installed the file. into blender script folder, still not showing up in blender.?. thanks

http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Trainz/Software_Used_for_Content_Creation

gives the location of all the files needed to export and import Blender to Trainz.

Technically its a two stage process, there is a .py script that works with Blender to export the .XML file. This script also runs the Auran .XML importer program that imports the exported xml file transparently however you do need both bits from two different sources. The exporter is on sourceforge.
