I've just completed downloading Angelah's route Blackheath Down, and placed a few consists. It's a fantastic route, and an excellent interpretation of Rosworth, however, I can't persuade some of the industries to interact with the trains. For example, I used log wagons through the timber plant- nothing. Also tried generic (TEA?) oil tankers at the oil thing on the dock and there's no response.
I suspect I'm doing one of two things wrong:
1. Using the wrong wagons? The wagons I'm using are set up to carry their particular commodity, but they're not necessarily the standard ones that come built in with Trainz as I'm trying to use all UK stock and much of the built in freight is US/AUS- e.g. I don't want to use the GATX tankers for oil.
Also, the timber yard has an IN and an OUT section- would I need a different wagon for whatever goes in to whatever goes out?
2. Do all industries have to be operated in a particular order to get everything working? There are so many that I'm a little confused- is there a logging plant from where I collect wood to be delivered to the timber yard, for example, before collecting whatever the timber yard produces and moving it on to it's destination?
If anyone's familiar with this route or could advise me on industries I'd be grateful. I normally play with passenger trains or just coal (which generally works- just run the wagons under at <6mph!) so I'm not very familiar with all this. Also, do you have to stop for some industries or are they all like coal in that you can collect by going through at walking pace?
Thanks in advance,
Alex
