Bit of a strange question

i've started to repair some assets so they are ts2012 compatible (many thanks to jctron & shaneturner12 for all your help over the last few days :Y:) & i've also made an alteration or 2 along the way :D.
Would I be able to upload them to the dls as "2012 compatible", I assumed i'd need permission from whoever origianlly made the asset, but to be honest i have no idea how to even do it yet, (not something i've ever looked at).
sorry :o rambling. what i guess im asking is, is it worth me doing? do i need permission? who/how do i need to ask?

thanks guys

You would definitely need to get permission in order to upload any changes to assets that are not yours. Be aware that the Download Station will not allow you to upload any content that is not under your user ID though.

Ask the creators of these items if you can have permission to do this. Otherwise, without permission of the creator, this upload is illegal and is frowned upon.

Edit: Shane beat me to it with an answer.

figured that would be the anwser to that. is it worth me going to the effort to get it? if so how would i go about doing it?

Yes if you are serious about releasing any changes. Use the config file in the asset to find the creator's email address, or send them a private message requesting permission.

permission granted by beadyboy, TS2012 compatible maglev station & RH Guiderail Switch uploaded.

thank you craig :D

You will not be able to remove it from the Download Station, but you can use Create New Version in Content Manager to release a new version of the asset when it's how it's meant to be.
