No offense to Adam, but I prefer to wish a happy birthday to those I feel connected to in some way. The birthday list Auran provides on the forum is nice for providing the information, but I wouldn't wish someone a happy birthday that I regard a complete stranger.
I also feel a thread that list EVERYONE'S birthday is a bit cool and impersonal.
I will continue to offer a greeting to those I choose, separately.
To each their own...![]()
I agree with Euphod.
Taking this out of the virtual world, imagine a world without greeting cards, for any occasion. The global economy would suffer in many ways, such as:
The lumber industry.
The pulp and paper industry.
The transportation of the two items above.... perhaps even trains.
The ink industry.
The printing industry.
The glue industry.
The transportation industry, on the 3 items above...perhaps even trains.
The retail greeting cards stores and many other retail outlets.
The pen industry.
The stamp printing industry.
The global postal industry.
The transportation industry, on the 4 items above...perhaps even trains.
The effect on the global economy would be devastating, leading to further decline of our banking and manufacturing industry.
But... the most personal effect would be the worldwide sadness of not receiving a greeting card...from someone...on a special day.

With warmest regards,
