BC railway by taprware

To taprware,

i have downloaded your BC railway and obtain all of dependencies, except for the unknown ones. Now the point of the problem i can not get it to work. TRS 2012 will not display it and in content manager it shows that BC railway does not have a "trainz-build number which is not recognized by this tool." When i checked it in the downlaod section of content manager it displays " unknown contact error".

Since live in the NW, just below Vancouver,BC, and have enjoy seeing the PGE and BCR equipment running i would like to be able to get this route up and running. Additionally, i have tried to get it checked in surveyor but again with no success.

What do i do now? Since you are the creator and have updated it several times, along with the sessions, i would feel you are the best one to assist in locating and correcting the problems within the route. Hope to hear from you soon and be able to run the route.

In closing and before your reply, thank you for your attention and aid to my request.

I would suggest that you first check that it's not left open for edit, has it been archived or do you get the options to "Revert" ?
If these are no good then delete the route from Trainz12 and download again using the FTP link on the black pages DLS. :wave:

Deano5, thanks for the info. i did what you suggested and it was not open for edit, before or after download via FTP link. i check to see if archived and i was not, also never saw a revert while doing anything with it. Also it still gives not recognized by tool. So i have no idea where to go , it is either delete and hope that i can have contact with the author for the purpose of correcting whatever is wrong with it. in closing thank you for your assistance and have a good day.

Re the trainz build number not recognized. Using CM select the route r/click and choose view config file (bottom option). The build should be between 2.9 and 3.6 maximum. If over open for edit using explorer and alter the build number then commit.

thanks for the info and i check the config and it is 3.6, so i moved it down one point but still does not recognize it. i do not know what else to do to try and get this thing working. i will continue to try for a while and if not working by then i will just dump it . what would help is to be able to communicate with the maker.

3.6 is ok for 2012, make sure the number is in line/vertically with the rest and scroll across to make sure nothing else is there.

BC Railway Northern is the only version working so far. That is the name of the route the map name or session is called MP Lions and a single player version Lions.

The latest versions that you dled by the way had in the info box the place to contact me. So all along it was available to you. Also for me to search around the forum and find threads started is very time consuming. Also if there is a problem with the Northern version let me know. I have troubles running it and get irritating load this and loading that msgs also.
