Basemaps – larger than 1km square?

Hi Scottish.

Thanks for sending the two oblong basemap assets which are working perfectly.

My first effort at swapping the images for my own resulted in distortion and incorrect orientation of the basemap, until I realised that I had placed the images in the wrong files!

I’ve now added N/S to one username, and W/E to the other so that my feeble brain can visualise which way each oblong needs to lie in order to correctly appear in Surveyor. Hopefully I won’t make that mistake again.

Thanks also for clarifying my understanding of the vertical view in later versions. When I saw that I immediately placed an edit in my earlier post to head off any confusion.

Your not wrong, in TS12 you still cannot get as good a view of the basemap as in 2004, but you can see sufficient of it to lay track and roads along their paths.
