I ain't complainin' cause I love JR's stuff....But has anyone noticed that this loco has an EMD spartan cab interior view. Just sayin, ya know?

It's offered as freeware, which is why it doesn't have a custom cab.

Most of my time is spent outta the cab....So heck...If it had no cab I would still be happy.....Just be happy ya got this nice loco and yet for FREEEEEE!!!! :Y:

Gahh, I noticed this too! Oh well, it shouldn't be too hard to change the cab.

I don't use cab view much, except when I'm switching. Can you change the cab in the config file?

The S12 isn't my primary focus right now, especially since it's just something I work on when I have free time- but at some point in the future I hope to make a custom cab for it- until then, yes, it uses the default spartan cab

I love the S12 as ALCO, Baldwin and Fairbanks Morse engines appeal to me due to their demise. Don't get me wrong, I like all the EMD and GE machines on Jointed Rail's site, but occasionally I like to have the odd 'oddball' unit floating around my layout and since most of my small 'trackplan' layouts are more of the 4x8 style 'shortline' type, these types of units fit in perfectly. Thanks for releasing it.

Swapping it out for an SW1500 cab would be acceptable for me, at least it's of the correct type (switcher). In fact, there's a lovely one by Mchawkman on the DLS; SP SW1500 cab - MSP,<kuid:593863:100081>.

First off, tanks to Therock ad JR for bringing it to us for free!

While not having a custom cab view can be disorienting, it isn't a show stopper for myself....
