BAD TRAINZ BAD AURAN

So here I was downloading this and that ,then when I went to go into Routes to start a Project I went and grabed a couple of my favorate loco's and rolling stock and what do you know they have turned BLACK including some of my existing stuff.
So now I ask is this WHAT GIVES more inportantly what do I do???????
can someone please help me????

I believe this is a conflict with your video driver. I think it was discussed in the TS2010 forum in the last week or so. IIRC, the solution was to disable hardware compression (in the video driver) and recommit any assets or recently downloaded or edited.

How much memory have you got, as you MAY need more memory. At the moment (note I said at the moment) it worked for me.

Hi there Digger yep I am very suprised this has never happened befor and I have just put in a new grafics card
I am running TRS2010 and have 500 gig of memery so I should be sweet.

Are you sure that's not hard drive space? I'm not aware of any systems that can handle that much memory (RAM)

Have you made sure you have the latest patches, and that you have tried both OpenGL and Directx modes.

As said above, it may be due to the hardware texture compression - you will need to open for edit then re-commit affected assets (make sure the option is turned off when you commit)

Hi Chris --

Presumably a Nvidia? And presumably with the newer drivers?

Unfortunately the latest Trainz patch leaves compression on by default. I did warn Auran about this before the latest patch was released but I was overruled.
