Bad textures on DLS downloads

Items downloaded lately have corupted textures. See below.
What changed? I changed my video card but why would that only affect new downloads?

Have you disabled that enable hardware accelerated texture compression in content manager (file/settings/misc )

Yes delete the assets that have the issue, then do as fran1 has said. I had the issue as well and that fixed everything.

P.S. You do not need to delete any assets, as my tutorial page states. Simply opening them for edit and recommiting them should do the trick.

No, not always. but some assets will be stubborn and will not respond to being open for edit then commited. In 1 case the textures look like the above, opened them for edit, then re commited them, the pixelated colors were gone but all the textures were jet black. So i then had to delete the asset then reinstall it.

I agree that certain assets will need reinstalling, but most of them will work after opening for edit and recommiting.

After unchecking that box I opened for edit and commited the 3 items in question and all is well.
I wonder why this problem had not happened to me before.

It's graphics card dependent.

may i ask which engine that is pix elated in your post?

it looks like an Sp SW1500 judging from the over all pattern, if it is, is it one of mine (BTVFD) and which road number is it.

if it is one of mine then this is the first i have heard of a problem with an upload from me.

i had a problem simular to this but it was a graphics card issue and not the content, this was verified because i had loaded the same content to another computer and had no issue what so ever with the specific content that i thought had an issue.

It is a card issue not asset.

Yep, a very recent SP SW1500 and yep, a video card thing. I had the same issue on the 3 things I had downloaded since the new card. The SW1500, the Corsair, and a Polar 50 foot refer. All is well with this issue since unchecking the box.
