Auran DLC: Please, Please do a A4!

Although plenty of LNER loco's have been made recently, there is a big gap when it comes to the A4's. I know that Alex23 made one, and it works in TS12, but it's just not up to TS12/10 standards. No offence, but Alex23's is no-where near the standard of, lets say, the Trainz DLC Duchess. Who's with me?

Don't know about Alex's but I am with you regarding the DLC Duchess and the Comets, quality locomotives and coaches indeed.

Aerodynamic they were. Arguably the most beautiful steam locomotives on Earth...

You've echoed my thoughts, I loved the A4's I saw most of them at Kings Cross in the 50's.
The A4 with some 1930's coaches would make a superb DLC.
The only other hope we would have is for George (aka Skipper1945) to turn his hand to LNER but that is very unlikely.

Are you saying that the quality of the DLS A4's are good - they are too old and look out of place in TS12.
There was a Duchess on the DLS made at the same time but Auran still issued their own version.

They look great passing through my Yorkshire route set in the period before the Beeching Axe, I run the Pullmans arriving at Harrogate out of Leeds, via a portal, then heading to Glasgow via a portal. Good to see them doing 90mph

Hi Jack
I also use Andi's Pullmans but they don't have internal views. I use them with the rebuilt Merchant Navies double headed they look superb - Clan Line and Port Line.
Your route sounds interesting, I live just south of Leeds.
I just think that the A4 of the same quality as the Duchess would be brilliant.

I would buy a new A4, provided it has BR versions of the livery, no problem.

I think N3V would have been better doing an A4 than the recently announced BR class 14 given that "tmz06003" has already got several recent versions of the class 14 on the DLS for free.

I doubt whether N3V will make an A4 with period carriage together with a BR version like the Duchess as they do very careful research into what they think the community will buy! They probably look on the DLS for old versions of iconic locos as they probably did with the Duchess before they come to a decision as to what to produce.

There is a mallard built in TS MAC/TS2010 (sorry, but being american, I just call the A4s Mallards and the A3s Flying Scotsmen...)

The A4's are called Streaks which happened to be used to pull the Pullman trains, the Mallard LNER#4432, BR#60022 was one of them.

I run them as NER or LNER
