HAHAHAHA on me
What it did was to take out ALL on the Nature seires from SirGibbys MURCHISON and any other Route that has the nature series in it
it has fixed a few of the other gremlins I have had and thats cool but what makes me MAD AS HELL is that I was building a route using ONLY SIRGIBBYS NATURE SERIES
And now I am left with well crap

I did take out the Murchison and then reload it thinking it well work now BUT no it did not
So auran can you please help

Before patching ... One should back up all their assets, and DLC content ... and save the 2 files that contain all your custom routes, and irreplaceable assets.

If you were replacing, or patching you PC's Operating System ... Wouldn't you "Back Up" all your photos, vidoes ... etc ...

That's helpful.

"Here's what you should have done"

Let's not rub salt in the wound.

Oh, and while your at it how about either saying what the "two files" are or just not mentioning it.

I really don't know the names of the 2 files that hold your custom routes, and irreplaceable assets ... But if you have been running TS12 for 9 months, what exactly is the process for installing SP1 ?

Does SP1 just install, right over top of an existing Trainz installation, even though you have run a train prior to the patch, and that you have 100,000 hours of work on a custom route, with 786Gb of irreplaceable DLC and 3rd party assets ?

When I loaded 2012 for the first time I then loaded the first sp1 befor I ran a train and it all worked good But now with thest new patches it has stuffed everything else

These are a few of the afected routes they are all NZR Routes
MURCHISON
RAUREMU SPIRAL
JOHNSONVILLE LINE
NZGRAILWAYS 1908
NZ ONGARE

Now I well have to unload TRS from my computer and reload upto the build I had befor
because of auran unless someone can help me out with this.
Thanks all

First off it's not Auran, Auran is now N3V. Just saying.

The first thing I'd suggest is that you do an "Extended Database Repair" via the content manager. I had troubles after SP1 was installed and the EDR fixed most of them. I also had troubles after Hot Fix 3, and again the EDR fixed them.

In both cases I did an Extended Database Repair and then, using Content Manager, I listed all the "Faulty" assets using the "Faulty = True" filter - selected all of them - and then right clicked and chose "Show Errors and Warnings". Do that last thing caused the game to re-examine all the items it had marked faulty where upon it realized they WERE NOT faulty and cleared their faulty flag.

(In the case of SP1 there was a matter of repairing a few assets myself and downloading updates to other assets from the DLS in the days following SP1's release)

I think you really ought to know before handing out advise to copy them, especially since I don't think they exist.

Yes it does but it does not delete anything except "trainzoptions.txt" and I guess any DLC content (eg. Blue Comet). None of my downloaded content or custom content was affected.

One you start the game again after the update, any DLC content you had installed is redownloaded at full speed (even if you don't have an FCT) and reinstalled.

(BTW 100,000 hours would be nearly 11 1/2 years of working AROUND THE CLOCK, so....)

Chris,

You don't say whether you did an EDR after install. and whether the Nature Series were part of Murchison2 or direct from Trainzone.
Because of the introduction of DRM server, and addons like Murchison2, SnC, Cabon City, and Treez have to be re-downloaded via Game menu\Get New Content\redownload purchases. Similarly for any DLCs you have.
For these the old JA files in builtin folder are no longer used and the associated CD keys are invalid.
The DRM system uses the cdkeys listed in your Planet Auran profile and downloads the assets to a new folder called packages. There have been some difficulties in the transition and Murchison2 in particular.
This also involves a very large reshuffle of where assets are kept and so the Trainz Asset Database has to be updated, duplicates discarded to backups folder and revalidation so that CM and the game knows where they now reside. This can take a very long time, and you may not see them in the menus until the EDR is completed. This has been extensively commented on elsewhere. I suggest you review other posts in TS12 forum including the SP1 bugs thread.
There is also a complication in that most of the package's asssets are locked and cannot be modified.

Chris,

Go into Content Manager and view the errors. If there are any, post them here and one of us will see what's up.

Just to let you know, I have SP1 plus all 3 patches installed and I no longer have any problems. As others have mentioned, an EDR or two, or three seems to do the trick. Remember to view the errors afterwards, as mentioned, to force Content Manager to reopen the faulty assets.

Once this is done, if there are any true errors, you'll have to repair these or have the content creator do that. In most cases, the assets are only missing a thumbnail which is easily repaired. In other cases there have been some incorrect tags in the config.txt files which are now identified as faulty. These too are easily repaired.

I haven't read all the post yet but wanted to say that trainz has a built in back up and it can be gotten thru CM under file.
