ATLS

 Thanks gearhead, I probably will get the hang of it now!

So if you set them up like this they will stop cars when the crossing is occupied? I heard they had to be set again for new sessions.

At any rate, I am so done with fixed crossings...they are too hard to find!

Just make sure to go into the route through the session not the route even to make a new session and you won't lose any atls settings.
If the road sinks when connected you can raise the traffic stopper up or use mine which are set for 0.0 roads.

Yea I should have known that over 300 different crossings wouldn't be enough.:hehe:

Do you have the crossing arms on the Grade XING Inc. 2L 2T available for NRC ATLS system. If not, then could you be nice enough to make them please?

NRC stands for No Road Crossing so an NRC 2L 2T isn't going to happen. The whole idea behind ATLS is to have stand alone crossings that can be used for any number of tracks and at any angle. So yes there is a 2 lane Inc "incandescent" ATLS xing Kuid 39134:102041

As this is an active thread, can I ask if you guys have this problem with the traffic stoppers?
Once the crossing has opened, the traffic doesn't start up and cross it, just sits there as if the barriers are closed.. If you move away from the area then come back the traffic has gone (normal surveyor behavior).

I run with -debug on so I can speed up my sessions, if I press shift for even a split second to speed up time, the traffic will cross the crossing again, but without that, if I sit and watch the crossing for a long time, the traffic does not start up and cross it..

Its not really a problem if you're driving a train because you're unlikely to see a crossing open, but if you're watching trains or its a crossing with a tracking camera near a station its noticable.

Just me?

Hi David,

The cars should start up again unless the de-bug is interfering in some odd way.

I can only suggest you check all the settings.

Oh and also I know that you also do RR XING requests. Can I send in any pictures for you to possibly do?

Sorry I'm not taking any requests for crossings at this time as I have enough requests right now to last me a long time.

Testing it without -debug in trainzoptions now.
May I ask where the main ATLS thread is? The forum search seems to be awful at present and won't find threads that I knew existed!

Tested it and still the traffic just sits there, other traffic thatgets to the crossing after its opened will cross though, the ones waiting will still wait though.

Hi Davie,

I agree, the new search is missing a lot.

The best thread is probably here......

Or go straight to the Tutorial page on my website....

However, if you say new traffic does not stop, only the original does not start... then it doesn't sound like an ATLS issue. Sounds more like a Trainz funny!

Have you tried re-laying the roads and moving the spline point position? What version of Trainz are you running?

Oddly enough, it worked once. but not again. I will mess around with spline points but everything seems to be set up correctly.

Oh and also I was wondering if BNSF50 has any intersection that would allow 2L & 4L roads to cross each other. As well as 4L & 6L and 6L& 2L roads?

Yes, the bell is a .wav file IIRC, just open for edit in explorer and you'll see it - you must have found the one that's horribly loud and obnoxious:hehe:
