ASSETS CONTINUE TO GROW

I have had this problem for the past four months. I've ignored it because I had more things that I needed to understand. It started when I obtained a faster computer with more memory. I reloaded the software but saved my route and assets on a 20 gb stick. Shortly after that my unloaded content jumped to over 1500 with warnings I was not current. I checked at the time and found the items listed to be updated to my computer were all on my computer. I have tried to find ones that have been added more recently and download those but its a losing battle. The new items are not added at the end each time the number increases. They appear to just get lost in the 1334 at last count. Combining different languages and short tags with 2 or 3 letters followed by a sequence of numbers is impossible to work with. A wonderful
game is spoiled by an overwhelming mish-mash of data that can not be understood. Why do you even have to have assets in foreign languages. I have enough trouble with English and the abbreviations these days.

You know, if it wasn't for some of those non-English speaking creators, you would not have some bad ass looking content that is available right now. Have you seen the detail some of the Russian, Japanese, and Italian content makers, for example, put into their creations? It is extremely wonderful. I am thankful for it. Besides, if you use Google's translate site, you can EASILY figure out what it says when not in English.

Have you seen the interiors of their passenger cars. I haven't found a USA passenger car that even comes close.
That's something a payware author might want to take a look at.

i'M RAPIDLY LOSING INTEREST IN THIS GAME. iN ADDITION TO 1300 ASSETS THAT HAVE BEEN ON MY COMPUTER FOR THREE MONTHS, i STILL CAN'T GET INTO sURVAIOR BECAUSE OF A LOCKED MINI MAP AT THE SMALLEST SIZE. THERE IS NOTHING ON THE SCREEN BESIDES THE MAP TO CHANGE IT OR TO GET OUT OF IT. DEISAN

I think everyoen needs to take a step back from this I can see that deisan is getting frustrated.. I can't help him as I'm not really sure what the issue is ... but I understand the issues of the naming convention and I also agree that some of the non English speaking developers are amazing ... but I still see a need to limit the files I have been busy working my next release and have not been updating my Trainz as I don't wish to have to restart everything... because its changed somewhere .. so now I have a huge number of downloads to update...

perhaps all assists should have a stronger naming convention forcing user number to be placed in front of anything and before the country code ... thus limiting those that are not after EU assets or AU assets from having to wade through those and limit themselves to the country specific items... or open it up for everything as a choice... I would go the later but I would still like to prioritize Say AU assets..... just my thoughts..

As for the OP issue I'm not a wiz with the technical side of the interface but if you can give more details of your issue what happens? what version? what you are trying to do.. and how you are trying to do it? perhaps I or some learned person will be able to help you... I know its frustrating when things jut do go the way they did....
