ASSET TRANSFER

I am running TRAINZ 2006 on an XP PRO machine. I recently downloaded and installed some assets (locomotives) from the DLS. They show up and operate perfectly in Surveyor on my Main "C" HD. I also installed TRAINZ 06 on a USB 250GB HD (Drive E) where I am using it to work on a new ROUTE in Surveyor. My problem is that I cannot get the "new" assets to show up in Surveyor or Railyard on Drive E to use them in the new route. I have tried everything including importing them as CDP'S and transferring the entire Auran folder from Drive "C" to Drive "E".

Any assistance and/or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank You, tomurban

Problem Solved. Wow! 41 views and no responses. Sometimes it is good to sit back and reflect on what you did and why it did not turnout as planned. Therefore, I dutifully retraced my steps in trying to transfer the NEW assets to drive "E", just being a little more careful this time. In doing so I stumbled upon my error. When I originally installed TRAINZ 06 over a year ago, I also installed a backup copy in the Program Folder on "E". and promptly forgot that it was there. When I recently installed TRAINZ 06 on "E" to create a new route, I installed it the ROOT directory of "E:.Can you see where this is going?. Therfore, when I transferred the newly installed assets for use in the NEW ROUTE, they were being directed to backup copy I had totally forgotten about instead of the NEW Auran Folder in the ROOT directory. So, this sad story has a happy ending. Thanks for reading this and be careful.

Cheers, tomurban
