Is there a Certain Month?
I have a few questions about the new TANE:
Have you solved the "left is Best" problem with US and other right handed train routes?
Does the new version solve the iPortal problem when a user wants to send to himself?
Will all those animated graphics require a super game machine to run?
What ARE the requirements to run TANE?
The base version of T:ANE is really only going to come with four routes? TS12 had like 10...
Also...
1GB OF VRAM? This is a HUGE bump from current Trainz, which runs fine with 256MB of VRAM on my laptop.
.
We're happy that with TANE we are offering the best version of Trainz ever and at a price we think is great value. It's then left up to each consumer whether they want to purchase the product or not. If we've got it wrong, then we won't sell many copies. Current pre-orders indicate that there are plenty of people keen to get involved in the next generation of train-sim, and we're working as hard as we can to ensure we deliver on our promises.
That doesn't really answer my question? If the engine is should be more "optimized", why does the vRAM requirement increase? The problem with the current version of Trainz, as we have been told thousands of times, is that the graphics are dated and 10 years old. You simply don't get "next-gen" graphics on old tech.

"Why does the Mac version list DirectX11 as a prerequisite?" - probably an oversight - thanks![]()
