John, I think I have solved most of the major aspects of getting them to work, so it is mainly governed by available time to prepare the meshes and create a set of kuids. I am pleased that the result is low resource. The mesh is 1kb, the script is 1kb and the single texture is also 1kb, so using the assets should be low impact on the system.
