Are there any fuel docs in DSL that I need to look for?

In survayer when your selecting locos or rolling stock there is a ? mark on the bottem right, click that, then click your SD70's, a little pop up shows and you click on diesel load and put the amount in or sand load.

That will help if you want to use them on routes with no refuelling depot, you also need to start the locomotives, easiest way is to get the AI to start all locomotives.

Are there any fuel docs in DSL that I need to look for? Any specific names and functions?

Try searching for this under Objects...

Diesel Refueling Depot <kuid2:86105:28400:2> by phil_c
You can place different platforms over the top of the white ones if they are too bright.

Then just search 'Refuel' for objects to place around it.
