Any replacements are a start. As time goes on, you'll find a replacement for your replacement and update the horn again.

Before removing any assets referenced in the config.txt, you need to check what it is. The horn for example is something that is easily found. The other asset may be replaceable or if not and may end up being something that's needed to make the asset work.

If you do decide to remove the asset from the config.txt, you need to remove the kuid not only the tags and containers, but you also need to remove them from the kuid-table, otherwise the asset will still be referenced.

You need to edit the config.txt file and search for that kuid.

If the kuid refers to an:
Engine spec.
Engine sound, or
Corona (light)

You can easily substitute these with an equivalent from the DLS or built-in asset.

You can try this with a cab interior, but you will need to fiddle with its placement to ensure that the view is correct. Usually, you'll be SOL.

If it refers to bogies (trucks), you'll be SOL unless you can find a similar model for the type of locomotive and fiddle with the position for those too.

So we are gonna do nothing with those dumb missing assets huh why are they even there in the p42s and p40 they are not even at the American trainz group site so just leave those missing dependencies as they are I just need a yes or a no because clearly the P40 and p42 assets with

are not there at all plus there isnt another ac4400cw engine I can find theres just one only I dont know why there would be 2 theres like 2 horns and 2 engine specs so eithet those assets should be place at the site or just dump them out if there not gonna be in any use plus I know what assets that should be remove I either just em or get help somewhere where I can find those assets

Where the P40 and P42 download is, there is a "Leave a Reply" at the bottom. Has anyone tried that to see if there is any response? https://americantrainz.com/AMTZ/download/amtrak-p42s/ Also, Perrock is still active here to some extent, so a PM may be possible. The assets are by Gumbytrain, so not sure where his site might be.

Search for them in the config.txt.

Replace both copies of each with appropriate kuids. There are two copies of the Kuid in each config.txt file. The first one is in the string-table reference. hornsound for example will have hornsound <space> kuid.

The other is located in the kuid-table

Using search and replace will take care of both copies at once.
One everything is replaced, save and close the config.txt and submit.

The 52779 assets aren't mine; if they are no longer available, there isn't much I can do about it. The P42s at this point are legacy assets, and I don't have any plans on fixing them.
