Anyone willing to update the 3ft ver of the NG Whitcomb?

Spotter...
Philskene did a great job of updating the 3ft 6in (42in) version of the Whitcomb NG Loco earlier this year. KUID2:69871:2298:2

By the way, does anyone please know where I can find a missing kuid for the above NG Whitcomb? kuid2:37581:1072:1

Without trying to appear like a gimmie pig, would Phil, (or anyone else) please like to update the 3ft (36in) version of the NG Whitcomb to the same standards as Phil has done with his 3ft 6in version. (New cab, animated driver, brakeman, etc)...

I would try myself, but I just don't have the required skill sets, ... (understand if no one wishes too. Thought I'd have nothing to loose by asking, apart from appearing like a gimmie pig)...

Many thanks,

Cheers, Mac...

The easiest way would be for me to just place the 3' gauge bogeys under my 3' 6" version. Would this be OK for your purposes? Or do you really want the original colour scheme?

Phil

Just putting 3ft bogies under your existing 3' 6" version would be really great. Not worried about colour/s, etc...

Is there anyway it could be for either 3.3 or 3.6 versions. Still running NG trains in Murchison 2 on the 36" NG track that's in the layout. (TS2010 49933 & TS2012 49922). That's where I would be running the loco.

I haven't been able to locate kuid2:37581:1072:1 that's part of your 3'6" NG Whitcomb version. Do you know where I can find this missing kuid please?

Really appreciate all your help. Many thanks.

Cheers, Mac...

The lowest version that the Download Station now accepts is, I believe, 3.5. So I can upload that version but none earlier.

I've just installed the 3' 6" Whitcomb into T:ANE. kuid2:37581:1072:1 is certainly one of the dependencies. In my non-Deluxe version of T:ANE it's listed as "Installed, Payware." It should also be in your Deluxe version too. Have you tried a Rebuild Database?

I'll have to modify the original 3' bogey. In T:ANE the wheels refuse to rotate. I'll sort this all out and upload tomorrow.

Mike --

I've just uploaded the locomotive and the bogey to the Download Station. Expect to see it "soon".

This version is a shade of brown - well, actually beige.

"Beige" always reminds me of Jeremy Clarkson's immortal comments about older Honda cars:

The average Honda customer was a symphony of arthritis and beige. His other car was a mobility scooter. He bought a Jazz or a Civic simply so he had something to wash on a Saturday morning.

Honda was desperately trying to woo a younger audience. It wanted twentysomethings. It wanted the in crowd. But its cars were bought exclusively by people who needed somewhere to sit while the Grim Reaper sharpened his scythe. Look in any lay-by on a sunny day: the old couple eating their sandwiches in silence. They’re in a Honda, aren’t they?

Yep - beige it is.

Looks great Phil. Unfortunately the NG30 Whitcomb bogey with side rods - T:ANE - KUID2:69871:2312:1 is showing faulty in TS2012 49922.

I still haven't been able to locate kuid2:37581:1072:1 that's part of your 3'6" & new 3ft NG Whitcomb versions.

I'm hoping someone can tell me where I can download it. Had a quick look in my Tane and couldn't see it.

Really appreciate all your hard work.

Many thanks,

Cheers, Mac...

Delete the obsolete asset-filename line in the config file and it will work in TS12

Phil, many thanks for kuid2:37581:1072:1

Unfortunately Nathan OCP3#2 Kuid2:37581:1072:1 and NG30 Whitcomb bogey with side rods - Tane Kuid2:69871:2312:1 are both showing as faulty in TS2012 49922

(I know you haven't got TS2012 installed, so realize that you can't check to see if they can be easily fixed in TS12.

John,
did what you suggested in both Kuid2:37581:1072:1 & Kuid2:69871:2312:1 and it worked. Now have the loco running in TS2012 49922. Looks really great, especially with the animated driver...

Thanking you both for all your help.

Cheers, Mac...
