Anyone excited about "Hell on Wheels"?

Already have it set up to record ;-). I'm not expecting any sort of historical accuracy, but it might be fun anyway.

I've been seeing previews on the show and am a little intriqued. I'll probably tune in to have a look. It's interesting to see what Hollywood can create.

Would have been nice to watch the clip. However a message says you are not able to watch in my country/location. Pity.

Cannot view the content in your country or location it says. :(
Well aint that typical.
Obviously the Australian Governments chinese govt influenced National Broadband filtering policies must be kicking in :o remember? the ones we asked for?:n:
Good one Senator Conroy :eek::(

I heard about this while channel surfing a while ago...

I love the idea that they built there own engine, but i wonder why they didn't just borrow the Inyo like everyone else does:hehe: or why not use the two at the Golden Spike monument?

anyway, small change compared to the whole deal...i wonder if i can buy that engine from them?:D

I've already got this set up to Tivo. Thanks for the heads up on the Web site. Didn't think to hunt for it. I'll check it out later on.

Thanks again.

I got to see the show last night, a lot of inaccuracies, the loco looks odd, had a steal frame flat car in 1865(should be wood), and a guy got shot with an arrow that went through his chest and into a wood wagon witch is not possible.

And they couldn't get the road markings right. It was UNR or Utah Northern Railway i think. And it should have been UPRR for the Union Pacific Railroad. It will probably just be another show of what really didn't happen.

Storyline gets a "Meh".

Realism/fact checking gets 7.5/10. Nah, make it 7.

Camera work gets A-.

Could it be better? Yes.
Will I keep watching it? If I have nothing better to do at 10PM on Sunday, I reckon I will. Better this than some other shows out there.:hehe:

Well, what do I know? I ain't no film critic.

Well I suppose that could be tried but I am not too fazed really and just a passing, informative comment. I'm more concened about forecasts of an 80mph wind which will keep me inside building a trainz route (!)

G'day.

Has nothing to do with what you're ranting on about. they can't get it in the UK either.

Have a good one.
