Any turntable tips?

Well, hello gents: I tried installing AJS's turntable, like an idiot, just jumped in and went at it! Now I'm armed with a tut by Chuck Brite. I was going to go for the manual job, but I might just go for the full auto baby. I'm going to use his 6 stall roundhouse. I just took a fast glance at the tut. Question 1, I'd like to know if you put in the turntable AND stubs and THEN attach the roundhouse parts to the turntable? Everything is flat at 1.00 meters. Question 2, Does it Matter if I use the scripted turntable or the regular one? I'll have to be a lot more careful on my next attempt. I was getting kind of flustered and started clicking the wrong things, moving, rotating stuff all over the place! All those spinning circles were making me dizzy!

Thanks, cheers.......Rick

Well, the turntable is working great now. I thought I needed a stub for all the stalls. That took a few hours to figure out! It went together lickity split. I have got to find a way to make my yard look filthy. It's spotless at the moment. I wish there was a button to put a layer or two of grime over EVERYTHING!

What a great idea!

Everything always looks so Disneyland in Trainz, not a good thing when you are trying to make London suburban routes in the 'fifties.

I'd like to see different categories of dirt, like "grime," "soot", "slime", and "litter".

Also a slider controlling "general dereliction" would be nice.
Since it's your idea I suggest you put a post in "Suggestion Boxcar"...........................:hehe:

Oh I wish it was that easy! I'm thinking if you really wanted all the grime on everything, you have to learn to paint. I'm thinking of getting a little coal dust, mix it with a little water, and apply it to my monitor. I'll let you know how it turns out! (hee, hee)

Cheers........Rick
