Any suggestions? (For a route)

Note to mods: this post contains refernces to a route, but does not in any way announce the release of it. it is meant to be a suggestion box, or sorts, that i could use on a future route.

Hello trainz community (or more correctly the people who happen to be on the general forums right now:hehe:)

I love museum routes, plain and simple. i like the ability to run any engine or car (US/Canada) that i want to at any time. I like the generality of them, and i like making scenic areas for the trains (or is it trainz?) to run through.

I've tried twice to make one in TS2009. the first was lost in a crash and the second has stalled at the texturing stage. Well, i want to change that.

I'm planning a museum route, take 3. However, i'm at a loss as to where to set it. That's where you guys come in. Now, before i go on, i have to say this route may or may not get released, but i wondered if any or you out there have any suggestions on the route's locale and specific area. I was leaning towards arkansas and the ozark mountains, but i hate making mountains with a passion, so that was scratched and now i can't think or anything else.

Any thoughts on this would be appreciated, and any suggestions anyone out there has would be welcomed. I guess i'm putting this here to poll the community to see if anyone has any good ideas. after three tries of this, i'm just about fresh out. I've got a couple ideas of my own, but i'm losing steam on this rapidly (pardon the loco pun). I thought getting a fresh set of minds to weigh in on the subject might help my "routelayer's block."

Oh, before i forget, this route is going to be set in the US (if you haven't figured that out already) and is meant to be an old branch line that was cast off and bought by a musuem to give their collection a chance to stretch their legs. It is meant to have mostly late steam/first generation diesels in their collection. Of course, anything ideas to the contrary (save the US setting, since i mainly collect US rolling stock so downloading massive amounts of foreign content for a musuem route isn't extactly what i'd like to be doing) is welcomed. I'm open to doing something a bit different from the norm.

wow that was long winded, but hopefully i've explained myself enough that you know what i'm trying to do. I know this is a strange post but please, bear with me.

I have been to many Model RR clubs, and the Franklin Institute Musueum once had a big HO model RR layout.

I will try to post some links.

Most are big room size ovals, with ever increasing gradients, that loop back on top of themselves.

The late: John Allens-Gorre & Daphitid RR was a classic never ending looping RR, that went from floor to ceiling, on a constant uphill, many miles long looping gradient.
