Another portal question...

Hi all, How do i get the default track with a basic portal to change to the track that i'm using on a layout? I know with some stations and industries, this happens automatically and I've downloaded routes where there are portals and the track is the same as the rest of the layout rather than the default 1 track wood. If it's supposed to happen automatically and doesn't, why? and can I do it manually?

I can always achieve this by joining the track to the basic portal, not the portal to the track. Hope this helps.

Depends on what you mean really:

1. If you place a portal on the baseboard and plan on using other tracks for your route, then simply connecting said track to said portal SHOULD change the default track to the rack you want to use in your route.
2. This means that in an existing route, if the portal track doesn't match up with the rest of the track, you may have to disconnect and reconnect the track for it to change.
3. If that doesn't work, or if you want to change the default track BEFORE it's placed you'll have to go into the config.txt file, find the KUID for the default track used (hint: it's a dependency) and change said KUID number to the KUID of the track you want it to use.
