Hi All,

Brand new to the forum and to Trainz. I been playing around for about 2 weeks in Driver and Surveyor and I want to start planning my own route.

But when I go to the DLS and try to download some new loco's , I get the following message,

"Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol [trainz] isn't associated with any program".

How do I fix this ? Pleease

Thanks ,
Dave

Not so. You need to change the file that Firefox associates Trainz downloads with.
Open Firefox and go to tools, options and applications. Find Trainz and change the association to content manager
( you will have to search for it on your hard drive ).

This is partially correct, although I believe a "Browse..." button should come up with your original popup. Locate Content Manager that way.

I love and have used Firefox for a good many years now...however, I have not quite wrapped my head around what needs to happen for it to work with Download Station. I either use Internet Explorer or CMP to browse the Station.

I tend to download most of my stuff via the content manager, but on the odd occasion that I use DLS I would normally do it using the Google Chrome browser, which seems to do the job.

Thank You all for the reply's,

I should have let all of you know before hand that I'm a Moron when it comes to computers. I have learned to use the Content Manager somewhat, but I can't seem find what I'm looking for.[Conrail Loco's], but I did notice there is a whole bunch of goodies I can use. :udrool:

Another problem I'm having is TS 2009 comes with a SD 70 Conrail but it has some kind of error with it. I would like to use Conrail seeing that is what I grew up with here in Jersey. The error I'm getting is,
"SD70:Thread Exception:ER Null Reference,Line 140 sd70.gse[1]". Also get the same message with "Line 241".

Thanks Again,
Dave

From my experience, NullReference exceptions can often be caused when the script is looking for an other asset (i. e. dependency) and/or script that does not exist (i. e. becuase you have not downloaded it). Downloading and installing the missing asset(s) fixes such problems. Content Manager has a function to check assets for missing dependencies. ;)

Regards.
