Another empty folder with just cfg.txt

Ok:

I know for certain that something is removing / deleting files.

Before up grading I cloned and converted a load to a static vehicle.
and in surveyor set it on a heavy flatbed trailer.

That converted asset now has a ! and empty folder.
Now there is nothing I can do but do it over again and
apologies to those that I said that could not happen.

I have no idea what would cause that, but perhaps try checking the 'backups' folder in your trainz userdata folder.

That's ok ,it just took 5min to do it over again .
And backed up CDP

I might suggest you do a disk check as files vanishing is often a sign of disk corruption.
Or you did I presume restore both your local AND original folders? both are required otherwise odd things happen or go missing.
