Animated Junctions?

hello , does anyone know the place where can i get animated junctions? (NOT TANE)

Nope! Procedural track was only recently been added in with T:ANE in 2015. TS2009 doesn't have that feature supported. Also, how is it you are using a GIF in your signature?

well in TS09 here it has some Track with swiches

note: pic isnt by me

and the GIF in signature you simply have to create a gif and put it where the signature goes

EDIT: im asking if it has some more lurking around

It is possible that the "animated" junction may be one created by user mike10 many years ago for TRS2004 or 2006. If my memory serves me correctly its operation relied on an undocumented "feature" (in other words, a "bug") in that version of Trainz. This bug was fixed in a later release (Trainz 2010???) so the animated junctions no longer worked from that version onward.

There were no further animated junctions in Trainz until TANE with its procedural track.

Animated junctions (not procedural) were fully supported starting TRS 2006. See https://online.ts2009.com/mediaWiki/index.php/CCG/Modelling:_FixedTrack#FixedTrack_-_Junctions for more information. Mike10's original junctions predated this (UTC, maybe?) and broke around TRS2004 or so. I believe he's done new ones to the new(er) standard since then.
As far as I know, the animated junction functionality still works, though it's been a few years since I tried it. Try looking for turnouts, junctions, or switches on the DLS.

Hi

Search the DLS for author "andi06" who created two different full sets of animated junctions. Unfortunately Andi passed away in 2016 and I believe his website, which had instructions for their use, has now gone. The later versions didn't need "wiring up" like the earlier ones did so I would suggest trying them first.

He also had a signal box to use with them but I believe it was faulty in later versions of Trainz. I stopped using them when Tane was introduced with its proceedural junctions.

There are also some fixed junctions created by Russian creators but I've never used them.

Brian

Hi everyone,

You can search with user ID 334624 (french creator thibaud). He has made a lot of animated junctions which work very well with Tane, TRS19 and TRS22.

All the pdf files are downloadable from the Wayback Machine. The FAQ was a link to the Auran forum. The assets for this junction kit are available at the DLS.

Check the DLS white pages.

If you can't get the parts, I recommend choosing another author such as Sirgibby.

Regarding the setup...

These are basically these are scenery objects that act like plastic track pieces used in a model railroad. You then place "wires" or invisible track splines to connect up between the tracks so that the AI and user trains can drive over them, otherwise, the Trainz Driver part won't see these as track.

The latest versions available at the DLS are:
<kuid2:122285:4005:12> JK Junction Wire (Grey 2 Core)
<kuid2:122285:4006:14> JK Track Adaptor Marker
Usually it's best to download the latest version of an asset, unless it's for a newer Trainz version than the one you are using.

Hi everyone,

The use of Thibaud's junctions does not require the placement of invisible tracks. Just lay them down and connect to the track. That's it. Easy isn't it.
