An Apology to the Entire Community.

Community,

I want to take this chance to publicly apologize for some very rude posting coming from me lately.
The worst coming from the thread listed in aarvark1's thread below.

I realize that at times I can be very rude, even when I don't mean to be.
Furthermore I hope I have not offended the said member in any way.
Reading through the posts on that thread after my post, I realize that I have upset many people.
For that, I accept any loss of respect fully and would like to my express my deepest apologies to all members.
I also realize that "sorry" doesn't fix anything and it will take time to re-gain the respect I have lost here, I also accept that fully.
I will try very hard not to be rude in future posts, I realize that we are all people here, we are a community, and somewhat of a family here and I have no right whatsoever to act like a jerk and ruin the fun for everyone else. If people feel that I am a forum bully, then I accept that title as I probably deserve it.
If the moderators see fit to ban me for a time, then I respect their decision.
If a majority of members would like to see me leave, then I with reluctance, will bid my farewells and leave.
I do not want to cause trouble for people, I have you guys in my best interest.
I consider you all friends and I should start being more of a friend to you.
I am sorry that I have not done so.

Sincerely,
Woody:wave:

You didn't do anything wrong. You're entitled to say your opinion, (I hope) and it's good to share information to help people, whether positive, negative, informative, etc.

Don't make yourself feel Guilty or at Fault.

No ban, no need to leave, no loss of respect and no big deal.

The fun things about forums is the chance to voice opinions, get help or shoot the breeze. Even 'neer do wells like you give it character. (That was a joke by the way) :D

Don't sweat it and live and let live my little brother. The planet would be a better place if we all did.

Dave......

Woody,

I saw where your posts got a little snotty, to put things lightly, and I'm glad that you are mature enough to realize what you said.

Remember this is a "printed" and typed world, and there is very little direct interaction with people. What you may think is funny at the moment, can be taken totally the opposite by someone else. This is true in part because of language differences, and personal feeling of the reader at the moment. Another thing on this same subject comes to mind as I type this. It is easier to type a message back than it is to say something directly to people because of the lack of interaction. There's no way of reading the emotions here as there would be in a room full of people.

Also take a moment to think about what you're going to say before you click the reply button. Sometimes, in the heat of the moment, we become hot-headed and think with our tongue instead of the mind, well here it's speaking with the fingers instead of the mind! ;) By taking a moment to read your post before clicing Post Quick Reply, gives you a chance to ask yourself if you really want to say this. This will help keep the fur from flying and make your forum stay more comfortable.

Now having said this, remember you are also in a public place, and what you say and do in public is showing yourself to the world whether virtual or real, and while in a public place such as the forums, school, businesses, and anywhere else for that matter, you want to treat others you interact with, with the same level of respect that you would expect to receive.

John

I think John's advice encapsulates it well. Seems a fair enough situ to me? Let's remember it is a happy hobby and not a life and death programme!

Fight over!

Buy everyone a Guinness settle down enjoy life and lets start fighting again.

What could be better.

Don't beat yourself up about it woody. We all make mistakes from time to time. As my father once said to me "It is a far better feeling to give respect than to receive it". Some thing that i have held true all my life.

Regards Dave.

I agree, don't sweat it, we all are not perfect,we make mistakes even on here and I made some on here as well, but anyway, don't sit there and feel sorry for yourself and enjoy the program we know and like alot!

"A party without a good fight is not a good party," is what my late uncle John (from Ireland) used to say. He must have been thrilled that, when we celebrated his funeral in his favorite pub, his son and a son-in-law got into a big fight about who invested more time organizing the funeral.

Kudos to you, remember, no-one can please everyone all the time. If this forum is like any of the others i've been on, then of course, and human nature will make sure of it, arguements and disagreement happen. Unless we are prolific and skilled authors, it can be difficult to get a point across using the written word as we don't have the benefiit of tonal infliction.
Besides, if we all thought the same, and never proffered alternative perspectives, we'd never move forward and wouldn't life be dull?

No real harm done. Just remember that yours is not the only opinion and all will be good. Now someone said they were buying the guiness?

Hi All,

I want to thank you for your understanding.

That still doesn't change what I did, but I am glad to see that I am still welcome here.

Dave (deeelare),

Believe it or not, I disagree with your last statement...:)
I still respect you, we just argue at time right?:hehe:

Cheers,
Woody:wave:
