Alternative to Sketchup for Modeling - Creo?

PTC has a free parametric solid modeler:

Creo exports a "vmrl" which will import into Blender and Crafter where it can be textured:

I use PTC's Pro-Engineer for modeling and after a few minutes Creo looks like it is really good for modeling.

It looks pretty good, but it shares the same disadvantages as other parametric modelers and SketchUp for Trainz use. All have a tendency to create much higher poly models than 3DS, GMax or Blender. It's also typically (at least in GMax) harder to texture the imported file than if it is created in GMax.

Even so, a free parametric modeler is well worth knowing about, so thanks for letting us know...
