No, not cross purposes. I spend a lot of time messing with the scenery - placing grass splines, vegetation and ground textures. It is quite possible to create a fairly real, and believable, small railroad environment with TS12. However, in TS12 the height of the view determines the quality of what you have done. The ALT-Y gives you a good idea of how a scene will look near the ground. But, at the height of a locomotives cab it can look quite different - usually worse as you see the planes that make up grasses and small weeds/shrubs. Thus I was hoping to have a way to set ALT-Y to a cab height so I could quickly check how a scene would look from a train which, after all, is the goal.
