This question has been asked before, and invariably someone talks about signals, points, and all. But really, I have this problem when there is nothing ahead, just speed limiting signals, and AI "sees" them far away from the limiting speed sign, and reduces the speed to the indication!. So, you have a station where you sign it to 25KPH ( or miles), and the traight track leading to the station is limited to 50 for quite some distance. The loco, at a far distance goes down to 25 and runs slowly until it reaches the station. At that point it continues at 25... I have taken away the speed limited station sign and then the train goes at the right speed. But of course, entering the station at 50 is not realistic and gives a good chance to derailments and crashings. The solution, for sure is to limit the way AI "sees" incoming speed signs until let's say the loco is at 100 yards (or meters) from it. Somebody sugested at some point that this is done this way for usage in multiplayer. So, the majority of us don't do multiplayer, and have to endure the effect. Is that fair? Any solutions?
