AI slowing down trains into the station, signal change..., speed

Hello:

My question de jour, is regarding the AI's, if I run a subway consist, I can stop as I see fit. Right?

Ok. So, when I send an AI to a station. It slows down to no more than 20 or 30 kmh and crawls while I wait a whole block behind.

is there a way or code or method or kuid I can do/I can enter/ or I can access that will bring the train in a little faster?

Question 2:
Here in toronto, we space out subway trains by a full block for safety reasons. So if a train is in one block there will be the default red followed by another red a block down. Then an amber and green respectively.

Is there a way to change the asset to enable a one-block spacing for red signals? So, in case I have two signals close together, it's not a likely derailment when I pass an unformentioned amber signal at speed?

Question 3: I looked at an ancient thread regarding the defulat speed limit at 65/40. Has it been updated or is it still impossible to change the value in TRS 2009 and 2010?

Hi,

Q1 If you're using "navigate to" + "load" then the AI will reduce speed to the platform, then load. (sse q3 as well). The speed is determined by a "Lookahead" - if the AI passes an amber signal, it will proceed at half the speed limit. If it sees a red ahead, the AI will slow down to stop before it.

(note that an end of rail = red signal - eg for a terminus station).
You may need a couple of "invisible signals" to help out.

Q2 To my knowledge, this is an unusual block system - you may need to create and script a set of signals to do this for you...

Q3 When you put a speed limit marker on the route it overrides the default. If you don't want it to show, there are invisible speed markers available (DLS) which let you set the route speed - but you'll only see them in Surveyor.
