Agonizing over Graphics Cards !

With my budget of $600.00, these items are locked in: AMD FX 4100 @ 3.6ghz, 8gb of RAM, 24x DVD, 7200rpm 500g hardrive. The two Graphics cards in my budget range are Radion HD7750 1G GDDR5 3.0 and the Nvidia GT 630 1g GDDR3 2.0.

My question is which one? The motherboard is 2.0 and most computer forums say that a 3.0 card will still trans data just fine on a 2.0 board. Is GDDR5 going to be better/faster than GDDR3?

All opinions welcome, gotta' go to work today!

7750 is better then 630.gddr 5 is faster then gddr3 and pcie 3.0 card can easily run on 2.0 and even below this doesnt matter

the 4170 is a faster 4 core cpu.

Not sure how it is price wise in the USA, however in the UK a FX6 6100 costs less than the 4 core variants, which might not benefit trainz much but as far as the OS environment and other things is concerned may be a better option. The 7750 will walk over the GT630, no debate.

This review gives the 7750 a clean bill of health. http://www.techradar.com/reviews/pc...adeon-hd-7750-1062825/review/3#articleContent Since its a relatively inexpensive card, if you have sufficient PCI-E slots on your motherboard you could buy another one later and run them in crossfire (two cards with a bridge piece connecting them).
