Adding Track to existing Route

Never had this problem before and what I enjoy is updating older routes so this is new to me. I would like to simplify a section of track on the Ozark Valley but for some reason I cannot add a new section of track. The track refuses to snap on to the existing track. In the screen shot I would like to add a crossover but cannot the track. Same type of track, MP Rusty. Tried other tracks and got the same result. I CAN add the track to an existing spline point. Any explanation or help will be greatly appreciated.

Add Ozark Valley to your Post Title and Dave Snow will see it.

add a spline point to teh track......

If you are using TS2010, select the route layer as active layer. If the session layer is active, you can attach new tracks only to existing spline points.

p-dehnert, when I change things on a route I do it in the session part. Are you saying that in the layers the route should be unlocked and the sessions locked?

Thanks for the input. I figured it out. Dave, I hope you didn't take it the wrong way when I asked about the water. I wasn't sure about the water so now hopefully others have learned also. I'm slowly deleting the unnecessary water. Damn, you went crazy with it. Thanks again for a nice route.

I didn't take it wrong at all! I'm glad I learned it now.. When I create a route, I always want to make sure there's no square "holes" in the water, so I guess I went overboard!
